Broadcasting Christmas
Overall Rating: 4 Golden Rings
Worth watching?: Yes, quality cheesy Christmas rom com.
Chemistry: Strong. I'm starting to believe Melissa Joan Hart can have chemistry with a squirrel.
Smooch Quality: Meh. Had a smooch fake out (the bane of my existence) and then poor camera angles for the actual lip lock. Subsequent kisses were passionate, but slightly awkward.
Plot According to Julie: When a vacancy opens up on a popular national talk show, MJH and Dean Cain compete to win the coveted co-host spot. The residual sparks from their long ago romance flare up. Cue the romance!
Review: This movie will have you saying, “Is that Dean Cain?” This is a satisfying Christmas rom com with enough of a unique plot and strong chemistry between two nostalgic leads (Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Superman for us Millenials). I’m a sucker for a cute slow dance moment to a jazzy saxophone. You also have to respect a woman that keeps a 100 year old fruit cake through generations. Is it a metaphor for holiday spirit? I’ll let you decide!
