Love Hard
Overall Rating: 3.5 Golden Rings
Worth watching?: Yes, but not if you are looking for a sappy romance. With Love Hard, you tune in for the plot and the acting. I watched it three times in three days.
Chemistry: The romantic chemistry is very bad. It sits firmly in the platonic zone and never crosses into romantic. That said, the dynamic between characters is still compelling.
Smooch Quality: Fine, though it would have been better if the characters had established more romantic chemistry.
Plot According to Julie: Nina Dobrev travels across the country to meet a guy she met on a dating app just to find out she'd been catfished.
Review (Spoilers): I stand by the fact that this movie would have been 1000 times better if the two leads ended up as friends. They did not have nay romantic or sexual chemistry this entire movie. They didn't have a chance to! There could have been a scene where they have to dance together or they brush hands or end up sleeping in the same bed and wake up cuddling, which establishes some sort of chemistry that would pull them together, but that never happens. I do love the scene where they caroled a non-creepy version of Baby It's Cold Outside
