No Sleep ‘Til Christmas

Overall Rating: 2 Golden Rings

Worth watching?: No - This is barely even a Christmas movie.

Chemistry: Good, though I expected more considering the main characters are married in real life. I blame the writing more than the actors.

Smooch Quality: Not notable. Happened in the dark so hard to see, but led to a cute moment.

Plot According to Julie: Two insomniac strangers realize the only was they can fall asleep is when they are together, which is problematic because one of them is planning to get married on New Year's Eve!

Review: To make a good Cheesy Romantic Christmas Movie, Christmas needs to be one of the main characters. The magic of Christmas needs to be weaved through the film as a foundation of the plot, otherwise it's just a generic rom com. That was the issue with this movie. The plot was interesting enough (although are we really to believe that a fiance could give a massive loan, sign a business agreement, and regularly stay at a hotel with a stranger without their partner finding out?!), but you almost forget the movie is set at Christmas time. Also, this movie was a bit more irreverent than I expected (they sing about a slut on drugs? Hey, at least it was a Christmas song).
