A Castle for Christmas
Overall Rating: 2 Golden Rings
Worth watching?: No - This only got a 2 because I was impressed with Cary Elwes Scottish accent
Chemistry: Very good, despite some VERY awkward scenes.
Smooch Quality: Good - what you would expect. It got better over time.
Plot According to Julie: A dishonored author escapes to her father's childhood home in Scotland after her most recent book received terrible reviews. Her father grew up on the grounds of a castle, and she realizes it is being begrudingly put up for sale by the Duke that lives there. She decides she wants to prove to him she is worthy of not only buying the castle, but also returning it to its former glory! Will the grumpy and prideful Duke allow her into his castle...and his heart?
Review: The premise here is fairly predictable, and Brooke Shields's acting leaves lots to be desired. There is the WORLD'S MOST AWKWARD ALMOST KISS SCENE where Brooke weaves her head back and forth like she is going to kiss him and just...doesn't? Cary Elwes is a treasure though and did a great job, IMO. He was the only reason I finished the movie, which is more than other friends were able to do.
